AfrAsia Bank Africa 2017 recently released the ‘Wealth Report’ published by New World Wealth in association with AfrAsia Bank. The report reviewed the top destinations in Africa for the wealthy.
According to the report, Africa received approximately 48,000 multi-millionaire visitors in 2016, up from 43,000 in 2015.

South Africa was the most popular African destination for the super-rich, with approximately 15,000 multi-millionaires visiting the country during the year. Major destinations for them within South Africa included: Cape Town, Johannesburg, Umhlanga, Durban, Paarl, Franschoek, Stellenbosch and Kruger Park (mainly around Sabi Sands).
The most popular hotels and lodges for millionaires (HNWIs) in Africa over the past year are listed below.
Major destinations for them in the rest of Africa included: Marrakech in Morocco, Casablanca in Morocco, Cairo in Egypt, Nairobi in Kenya, the Serengeti in Tanzania, Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, the Masai Mara in Kenya, Livingstone in Zambia and the Okavango Swamps in Botswana. Gorilla safaris in the Virunga Mountains and the Bwindi Forest (Uganda) were also popular.
