About me: Maryanne Maina

I am Kenyan, based in Paris where I was studying my MBA in Luxury Brand Management at HEC Paris, School of Management and graduated in 2016.

My career started as a business journalist and in Public Relations in sub-Saharan Africa and I worked in various countries such as Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda etc where I worked on various clients such as banking and financial companies, non-governmental, multilateral institutions, airlines, cement companies, technology and many others. My first degree is in Journalism and International Relations from USIU in Nairobi, Kenya.

I pursued my MBA in Luxury Brand Management due to my passion for Africa and luxury. The next step was to use my skills to communicate about my dream, and my passions: Africa and luxury, through blogging and writing about luxury as a business in Africa. My blog readers are mostly from: France, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, the UK, US, the rest of the EU and the United Arab Emirates.

In addition to blogging, I am also a consultant and luxury writer and I have contributed to several media inclusive of Luxury Daily, Forbes Afrique, Pluris, Luxuria Lifestyle, etc

My business is in Consultancy: Communications, Consumer behaviour in Africa, the African luxury consumers, Consumer engagement with luxury brands, entry into market and training, etc
